12 Reasons Why You might want to consider training at Hessle Rugby Club part 2

8. When we train inside – we have the right kit for the job.

Does your gym instructor frown when you deadlift and drop the bar or make a noise because you re busting yourself in that set where you know you can smash it ?

Bumper plates and the realisation that there are times to give it your all are necessary.

We have loads of options to make things easier or more challenging.

9. Does your gym even have a bar to deadlift?

10. We’re consistent!

I wrote about the ‘C Factor’ here (CLICK to Read)

We have a range of bootcamps that are rarely (if ever) cancelled…..we may tweak a class time on a bank holiday, but our monday, wednesday saturday bootcamps are on 99.9% of the time 🙂

11. Great schedule

Speaking of which, I think our Monday-Wednesday-Saturday Schedule works very well.

We do some weights in each session, along with some high intensity intervals.  That leaves Tuesday, Thursday, Fridy and Sunday for either

– More High intensity intervals

– Lighter cardio (like walking, swimming, easy biking etc)

– Rest!

So even if you only do bootcamp once per week (eg Wednesday 6.30pm) – you can still slot in easily……..and do some bodyweight things at home on the other ‘scheduled bootcamp days’ (Saturday and Monday).  If you are at a gym too – we can work that too.

This is great flexibility FOR YOU.

12. Knowledge and atmosphere

You get access to me – a coach who’s dedicated his last 14 years or so learning about the body and how it works. I got my Precision Nutrition Level 1 earlier this year – and I think this will be the benchmark of a sound coach in the future.

I have helped many achieve what you want to do – and the media often pick up on my clients successes information I give out.

You get access to other bootcamp clients – who have actually been through the process of what you want to do ….they have DONE IT!  They will be able to fill you in on the other aspects that I cannot.

Also, you can push each other on.

So if you’re

a) Sick of your gym

b) Want to Lose weight

c) Bored of your bootcamps

2. A Great coach?!

I’d like to think I get on with most people – and that I have the people skills to get the best out of each and every person. Also, being a Precision Nutrition Coach I know that food is an essential tool to body transformation……..and also – actual coaching is important too.

Click the Precision Nutrition Logo Below to see some of the mind-blowing success they have had!

3. A Proven System

The clients who have gone through transformations have done the important staples of training and eating.

Good choices, hard work, and execution….done over, and over and over again!

4. Great atmosphere.

Whether its small group personal training or bootcamps – the people we have are great people and make every session fun. Theres also the sense of unwritten accountability, where if someone picks up the heavy sled, or does an extra length when the clocks stops – other will make an effort to follow.

Its this attitude that makes athletes – and us all more athletic and tougher in the process 🙂

5. We dont eliminate for the sake of it.

We’re not ‘no carbs’. We’re not ‘heavy weights are dangerous’ . We’re not ‘only do X exercise as it’s the best.’

We appreciate there are times for different activities – and foods!

6. We’re one of the few specialised Body Transformation businesses that can prove results with excellent before and after pictures.

7. We’re not hypocrites and urge our clients to only eat chicken and broccoli!

In the end, its up to you what you eat – and what makes you happy.  We even had a bootcamp meal out at a restaurant that could be considered unhealthy.  We want you to look and feel your best – while having a fun and fulfilling life.

Book mark this site and watch for part 2 next week!

Look Out for these!

Today I want to let you know some things that are coming your way!

1. Food unwrapped (CH4 8.30pm Monday)

Some interesting info about food – where it comes from, and what happens to it.  Last week they highlighted the process of ‘processing ‘ chicken Kiev’s into a mush to make more of them.

Let’s just say I’m glad I don’t eat them 😉

2. Ben Coomber Podcast ( Thursdays)

Go here on Thursday night   —-> http://www.bencoomber.com/blog.html

I saw Ben speak in Hull a few months back and he spoke alot about what is wrong with eating today – and also that some personal trainers are literally destroying clients metabolisms with intakes of less than 1200 calories and at the same time having clients do cardio every day (burning another 400-600 calories).

Ben tells it like it is, and just some of the guests on alone are worth the 45-60mins or so.

I put it on when doing the dishes!

The Secret Life of The Cat (Thursday BBC2 9pm)

You know by now.

I love my Cat …Max.

Horizon put cameras on some 50 cats or so and spy on what they do.

Ever wondered where your cat goes?

I will be taping it and checking it out!

Have a great week!

What I Learned on Holiday! (No KNIVES in Airports?)

Hey,

I hope you have had a good past few weeks, I know it’s been chaotic as I have been all over the place sorting my last holiday abroad before my baby arrives, and also sorting my new website  (If you are not getting my emails then you need to  CLICK HERE).

NO KNIVES in Airports….

Ok.

So I kind of know that you are not supposed to have sharp implements when going to get on a plane.

I didn’t realised it when I ordered a steak for lunch…..

IMAG0476

Needless to say – it took me a fair bit longer then usual……….

We had a great hol – and I saw some unusual pieces of equipment:

2 Wheels – with no resistance?!

I nearly thought I saw a women doing some dips!!!!!

Alas……Really its just something you swing on from side to side and hold on to some bars 🙁

I did find a leg press of some decription – quite effective when using a single leg!

You probably think I spent a lot of time training when I was in Spain – in fact I get asked it all the time!

I did 6 days out of 8.  All sessions were between 10 and 20mins, and just in the hotel gym which had a cable machine and a bike, treadmill and X-trainer.

I really believe the best sessions are short, and if you can do something everyday – it doesnt take that long if you don’t dwell on how ‘painful’ it’s going to be.

Get in, work hard and get the job done – and get out!

I always eat as many vegetables as possible when they are available – so you get your nutrients in.

Then you don’t worry when you want an ice cream or whatever at the beach!

I got to read a book about breaking bad habits and also a parenting book

Meanwhile….

Back home we have a little lad of our own already called Max.

Anyway, it’s quite upsetting for him leaving the house for a while and so I practiced on how I would hold an actual baby…

IMAG0309

Max always falls asleep in Daddys arms!

Speaking of ‘Daddy stuff’ – Picked up our Pram from Toys R Us, and this was preety much the first thing we saw when we entered the shop:

And they wonder why kids are so messed up!!!!! Is this what real lesbian Ponies do?!

Even I am confused!

Take home points

You can train while away – just keep it short.

Try to eat plenty of veggies when you have the choice.

Use the time to read and learn and grow.

Don’t order steak at an airport 😉

Have a great week,

John
